Remember Aerosmith Guitar Hero? I hope not. Well in taking the next towards being relevant (and in a move that is bound to make millions upon millions) The Beatles (the remaining Beatles) have announced The Beatles Rock Band! Finally, the songs that fill dorm rooms late nights while countless frat boys chug Jagermeister will be good!
At E3 today, Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr, along with some old farts who used to bone the important Beatles (jk!) debuted a couple of videos of the game. The playlist is set to include atleast 45 Beatles classics, including:
“I Saw Her Standing There,”,
“I Want To Hold Your Hand,”
“I Feel Fine,”
“Daytripper,”
“Taxman,”
I Am The Walrus,”
“Back In The U.S.S.R.,”
“Octopus’ Garden,”
“Here Comes The Sun,”
“Get Back.”
Oh good, Octopus’ Garden. I can be as off key as I want and still get through that one! The game will also feature a career mode letting you play through the Beatles life from 1963-1969, vocal harmonies, and lots of downloadable content including the entirety of Abbey Road! It will be released September 2, so get ready.
Also at E3, generally all around awesome person Steve Wiebe did not break the Donkey Kong score. DAMN YOU BILLY MITCHELL!
